Suspended textile sculpture — wool, yarn and two circuit boards from a typewriter
A face woven from yarn and electronics. Two large circuit boards salvaged from a typewriter are interlaced with wool in green, grey, black and white, the same palette the boards themselves carry. Fiber and circuitry read as a single material rather than two opposing ones.
Man Machine is neither a critique of technology nor a defense of it. It is an attempt… to find balance between things that, at this moment in history, seem to compete for space and influence. The work proposes a quieter view: that these things are connected by something deeper than their functions.
As an object in space, the sculpture works as a presence rather than a decoration. Suspended, it occupies the room in three dimensions, and its woven structure softens the precise geometry of the boards, bringing the warmth of human touch into minimal, architectural interiors.
