About this artwork
This piece has a very special meaning for me. It was created in the autumn of 2024 in a tiny attic where one could barely stand upright. Sitting cross-legged on my kapok mat, with the wooden board on my lap, the persistent light of a salt lamp, and a small window to switch off, I fully immersed myself in the project.
I sensed that the wooden panel wanted to tell its own story, and I chose a creature of nature: the wolf. Starting with the head,… I incorporated mystical symbols into the fur, which intuitively flow throughout the entire image. Typical forest elements like leaves and acorns intertwine to create a vibrant narrative, while ornaments and details grow organically – like mushrooms from the ground.
The final stroke of the woodburning tool brought a feeling of arrival. A moment of pure contentment and connection that I wish to share with every viewer. I invite you to linger and enjoy. Thank you.
