This painting was made during the lockdown, this young woman with an ancient face struck me for the morning light that illuminated her face in this historical moment, she was serene despite everything, ready to face a new day of seclusion, while the sun spring would make you want to run outdoors.

Stefania Ormas is an award-winning artist based in Italy whose paintings have been exhibited nationally, as well as in Spain and Belgium. Her figurative works, which oscilate between realism and pop art, are representations of women, in all their facets. Some of Ormas' pieces are a denunciation of contemporary society. Whereas her florals, or depicions of cacti, are an attempt to reconcile herself with her homeland.
