About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to create a quiet balance between structure and freedom. Using acrylic, pastel, and chalk, I brought to life, layer by layer, a subtle harmony of gray and turquoise tones that radiates both tranquility and tension. It invites the viewer to pause and delve into the depths of the surface—a powerful, meditative experience for any space.
Stefanie Betz combines her artistic development with her work as a coach, inspired by a master's degree in coaching and consulting with art-oriented methods. After an apprenticeship as a tailor and a career in retail, she found her calling in human resources development. For her, art is a dialogue—both with others and with herself. Her abstract-expressive works are created with custom-made cardboard spatulas and mixtures of acrylic, lime, plaster, and sand, often accompanied by loud music whose rhythm is reflected in her powerful paintings. In her work, Betz processes observations, feelings, and personal challenges, inviting viewers to engage in an inner dialogue and to understand disruption as an enriching experience. Her paintings encourage reflection and foster exchange and personal growth.
