It was created in my studio near Hanover in July 2022
*** The thought behind the picture: The painting GIRAFFE was created in the work series “ON THE RED LIST. The number of giraffes has fallen sharply over the… past 35 years. Just under 70,000 giraffes still roam the savannas. According to the World Conservation Organization, the main causes are poaching and habitat loss. They have been on the Red List as endangered since 2016. The trade in meat, fur or other hunting trophies is now prohibited. ***
Material: acrylic, graphite and varnish against weather influences.

Stefanie Rogge is a German artist whose works have been featured in several solo and group exhibitions nationally. Working in series, her animal portraits are socio-critical in nature.
