This original painting was created in my studio in Bredenbeck: an expressive work on canvas in ocher mud, black, white and red.
How did the “Big Cats” series come about?
“On March 2nd, 2018 was the International Day for the Protection of Species. It was this year's concern to draw attention to the special protection needs of big cats. I was inspired and started a large… format series. The lives of the last free tigers are still in danger. Tiger products continue to be traded illegally. There is hope in Bhutan, Nepal, India and Russia: the long-standing tiger protection work has had an effect. The tigers are slowly reproducing. ”
The picture is painted on canvas and stretched on stretcher bars.
It has a protective varnish against weather and dust. It can be hung up immediately.

Stefanie Rogge is a German artist whose works have been featured in several solo and group exhibitions nationally. Working in series, her animal portraits are socio-critical in nature.
