Stefano Mazzolini was born in Parma in 1968. In 1989 he obtained the diploma of Master of Art in pictorial decoration at the Paolo Toschi Institute in Parma. In his most recent production, shadow seems to win over light, luminescence is the common denominator that transfigures the visible in every form, traces a memory with contours of dazzling impulses as if to reveal the soul that every living and non-living form generates the same matter. They emerge like so many electrical discharges, traces that the deterioration of time leads to the disintegration of the matter itself, creating holes of absence, discrepancies in the fabric that among the textures of the physical composition generates a sort of memory of the subject. Characters, still lives, inventions, bodies, objects are depicted in a restless expressiveness as if they had passed through a memory scanner, a plate of the past in which he lived of his own energy and today with the degradation of time the aura of memory remains.
"It is the kind of artwork I highly value, in artistic achievement and as a piece that invites you into dialogue and reflection."
