About this artwork
Curled up on her island of solitude, she waits for years for her man alternating between hope and disappointment, confident in the conviction, one day to embrace him again.

« Recognize what is in front of your eyes and what is hidden will be revealed to you. -The Apocryphal Gospel of St. Thomas, the Apostle »
Stefano Solimani is an experienced artist based in Italy whose paintings have been featured in solo exhibitions nationally, as well as in Monaco and Belgium. While he had explored varying themes throughout his career, he cites the concept of beauty as always having dominated his compositions. Not an end in itself, but an irreplaceable vehicle of an obligatory path to reach redemption, and therefore, to salvation. Solimani creates using acrylics and oils on canvas.
