About this artwork
"Zero Excuses" is more than a statement – it is a turning point.
This work arose from a very personal exploration of an inner pattern: the constant making of excuses not to do things. At some point, I realized that excuses are convenient but empty – and that change only happens when you decide to take responsibility. Not for perfection, but for what is necessary. Not for what you feel like doing – but for what is truly good for you.
In this work,… clarity meets form: reduction, directness, attitude. Typical of my Street Signs series, Zero Excuses uses the visual language of public signs – transformed into an inner appeal.

Steffen Wagner, a native of Berlin, applies his training in product and industrial design to his digital, typographic works. Using multi-layered typography, he creates graphically precise motifs inspired by clarity, reduction, and conceptual depth. His works, which blend urban aesthetics with individual perspectives, encourage reflection on motivation, self-discipline, and sociocultural influences.
