About this artwork
The plankton in the sea begins to radiate blue and green and fascinates every viewer. This effect is called bioluminescence and is a spectacular natural phenomenon. The fluorescent sea seen in the image was observed and captured by a photographer in Auckland (NZ). Now the natural spectacle has been staged with pastels.
