About this artwork
The deep seas are the largely to completely lightless areas of the sea below a depth of at least 200 m and cover almost 90% of the surface of all oceans. In these still relatively unexplored expanses of the sea live the strangest animals whose appearance stimulates our imagination. Many monster-like creatures are hidden in the picture and the frogfish fills a large space with its gaping mouth.
