About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the raw intensity of a profound emotion, poised between pain and resilience. The layers of acrylic and oil create a vibrant, almost living texture that draws the eye to this closed and mysterious face. This painting invites us to feel human fragility while simultaneously awakening a powerful inner strength, a poignant energy that emanates from every stroke.
He mainly uses ink, acrylic and oil, drawing on training at the Fine Arts School in Marseille and inspired by his attachment to light and the sea. His technique combines realism and expressionism, favoring the square format and portraiture, intensely exploring the human in its particular and universal aspects. Through his works, he seeks to reveal hidden emotions, questioning the observer and pushing him to a deep introspective reflection.
