About this artwork
Anyone who is hungry or thirsty will first notice the oversized pink coffee cup, next to it a fresh donut with a coffee pot. Above and to the right, nine large bags of popcorn almost instantly invite the viewer to a movie. The painting combines a multitude of vibrant and symbolic elements that expand the spectrum between childhood and adulthood.
The childhood popcorn bags feature a classic rocking horse – a symbol of childlike innocence. Above… it is the word "Pop," while "Art" appears as its counterpart at the bottom. Both are rendered in fresh, expressive colors. The work exudes a playful balance between symbolism, color intensity, and poetic narrative depth. It is a visual explosion full of reflections on consumer culture, everyday rituals, and the boundaries between reality and fantasy.
