About this artwork
My paintings are inspired by my global travels, particularly my long-term stays in the Balearic Islands and the Caribbean. In my works, I combine classical perspectives with vibrant colors and layered compositions reminiscent of Matisse and Bonnard. I incorporate playful contrasts such as fish, leopards, ceramics and retro elements into luxurious, casket-like scenes. I use old master techniques such as glazing to create luminosity and explore opposites…
such as organic vs. technical or geometric vs. freehand.
