About this artwork
In this painting, I explored the quiet isolation found in a crowd. Loyal to my interest in observing human activities in metropolitan city life, I return to the basic in "Reflections 01", focusing on the silhouette of the figures and their shadows.
Based mainly on photographs, the figure are carefully choreographed. I want viewers to put their attention on the details of people. The minimalist background gives viewer space for imagination, applying… the content to their own experiences.
Each figure is hand painted with great details using tiny paint brushes. Painting is ready to hang with figures continued round the edge of the canvas, no framing required.
