“Curious Eyes” – A Glimpse from the Depth
Curious Eyes is a playful, circular artwork that captures the moment when reality and memory connect through a single glance. At the center of a deep, acrylic-painted swirl of water, a small goldfish gazes directly into the viewer's eyes—curious, almost cheeky, as if asking, "What are you doing out there?"
The background was built up with multiple layers of acrylic paint to create depth and movement in… the water. The circular frame is surrounded by sculpted acrylic leaves, resembling floating foliage scattered in the water. A layer of epoxy resin adds the finishing touch, giving the image a glossy sheen and creating the illusion of a real pool of water.
This work is a homage to childhood memories – of visits to the zoo, of amazed glances through thick glass panes, and of those magical moments when you feel like an animal is looking back at you.
