About this artwork
A tribute to the Russian abstract artist, Wassily Kandinsky, who lived from 1866 - 1944. He was one of the few artists at the turn of the 20th century, to turn exclusively to producing genuine abstract images.
I had found out that he often included geometric designs within a circle. This appealed to me, so I decided to have a try.
The two globes dominate the… picture, set against a van dyke brown background. The full moon represents the moon, so it could not be classed as true abstract.
It has remained forgotten until I discovered it again early this week. The main design circle has various forms of shading to give it both depth and a 3 dimensional appearance.

I did, in time improve and was able to illustrate a few calendars and magazines.
On moving to the UK in 2007, I moved into painting landscapes and news items that caught my imagination. From 2012, I began to notice the works of the street artist Banksy. Other artists that I admire include Wassily Kadinski, Joan Miro and Pol Ledent.
