About this artwork
I'm back to the theme of Earth post climate change-I'm also blaming humans for a lack of action. Honestly, I wanted an excuse to paint that rich earthly red against veridian green. I wanted to include children as the guardians of our planet and the future. I like the ambiguity of the children running away from a failed capitalistic/materialistic driven world and the view that perhaps they are running towards a new, positive, caring, and humane world.…
The question is yet to be answered so the children are incomplete-transparent and uncertain like the fate of Schrodinger's cat. And yes, sunflowers.
