About this artwork
In creating this piece, I delved into the essence of contrast and harmony. The black and white segments embody the poles within us—the stark realities we endure, while the vibrant, undulating colors celebrate life's fluidity and spectrum of emotions. Each stroke channels a dance of light and shadows, crafted to bring a dynamic, bold energy into your space. This artwork is the poetic silence and the vivid chorus, inviting introspection and joy in…
equal measure.

- Experienced Artist
« The artist doesn’t paint what he sees, he paints what he wants the viewer to see. »
Stephen Mauldin is an American artist whose paintings have been widely exhibited in the United States. Throughout the years, he has made it a habit to play with paint, in order to learn more about what it is both capable of and not capable of doing. This experimentation lead Mauldin to invent techniques involving painting on glass and transferring that paint to canvas, modifying syringes to produce webbed compositions, and, most recently, to sling small quantities of paint onto canvas at high speed. The defining characteristic of marks made in this manner is electric energy, however, the incredibly fine nature of the mark is also striking.
