About this artwork
This is a reflection of several buildings, including the Central Synagogue, located on Lexington Avenue and 54th Street in New York City. The reflection was caught off of a skyscraper lobby, one block away. Some of the marble lobby is reflected at the bottom of the painting. The synagogue is the oldest active Temple in NY City, designed with Moorish features.

« I truly enjoy painting and will let the work speak for itself. »
Steven Fleit is a self-taught photorealist painter who also takes a certain artistic latitude in the creation of his pieces. The American artist explores reflections in architecture, as well as landscapes, cityscapes, and florals in his compositions. Fleit enjoys using a lot of paint and gloss in his works and employs a blending technique which gives each piece a rich and vibrant feeling.
