'Grosbeak' is his abstract reaction to the excitement of having several pairs of Rose Breasted Grosbeaks pass through his woods on their migration north. The Grosbeaks are a bright, colorful, singing addition to the otherwise gray days of early spring in the Blue Ridge Mountains.
