About this artwork
This painting is a part of my “Vessels Series.” Although this painting is intentionally abstract, the viewer may discern a bowl shape in the work. I chose the word “vessel” in this series because it can have many meanings and interpretations. There is the literal, the symbolic and the spiritual. A woman can be a vessel, a spiritual leader can be a vessel, and each one of us is a vessel, for we carry within us memories and the DNA of our ancestors.
