About this artwork
Three sailing boats represent three kings who brought gifts to Jesus. They are painted in three colors. The golden color represents gold, the green represents the myrrh and the purple is frankincense. The big glowing sun is light, Jesus. Important note my paintings always look better in real comparing the photo on the computer screen.

Stjepko Mamic is an established Croatian painter who has exhibited his work internationally, including in Japan, France, Italy and the United States. He previously led a successful career as a sea captain, and the ocean therefore features centrally in his art. He draws on the strength, vastness and depth of the sea to compose immersive, shimmering paintings full of color and spirit.
