About this artwork
Work in "watercolor" technique
There are many ways to love and many forms of sexual relations. The former are morally acceptable. The latter are more limited. That's why lust is a sin. But the dilemma transcends ethics once our brain ascends or descends to what we call "sexual fantasy." Morbidity is always rooted in the darkest side of human thought. I just wanted to recreate an illustrated fragment of what it would look like if I could visualize… it.

Sua Guerra, trained at the San Alejandro National Academy of Fine Arts in Cuba, has worked in metal, wood, and marble sculpture, pyrography, drawing, and installations for over 20 years. He uses realist, surrealist, and hyperrealist techniques, influenced by magical realism, with remarkable virtuosity in detail and execution. His works explore philosophy, psychology, literature, and mythology, and convey profound emotions such as rebellion, human cruelty, and the confrontation between reality and the mask, generating an intense and cathartic experience of reflection in the viewer.
