« I re-create images from life driving my car, walking the streets, strolling in the park and simple objects, using bold color and striking compositions, my rules, no boundaries. »
Sue Graef (b. 1957, Philadelphia, PA) is a contemporary figurative painter celebrated for her vibrant, highly stylized interpretations of the modern landscape. Her formal artistic foundation was shaped by formative training at the Tyler School of Art (1975–1978). A prominent fixture on the contemporary circuit, Graef exhibits extensively at premier national platforms, including Art Miami Context, Art Wynwood, and the Hamptons Fine Art Fair, with museum exhibitions at the Chihuly Collection and Imagine Museum. In 2025, she presented her solo exhibition, Urban Visions, at the College of Southern Nevada. Recently, a major large-scale work was acquired for the permanent collection of the Rosewood Residences of Lido Key, FL. Graef currently works from her studio in Florida.
