About this artwork
Silver Reflextion, I live in a small coastal village just north of Lisbon, Portugal. I have always found solace in painting and on this particular day after a brilliant sunny morning the fog crept in like a thief stealing the sun.. I found solace and a escape from the chaotic beach goers. I sat down with my easel and started painting. With the white canvas reflexing back at me I started slowly layering shades of white, grays, blues and blacks. My…
brush moved unconsciously, creating waves, sky and bands that seemed to represent the ebb and flow of my throughts and emotions..
This painting features an abstract landscape with a horizontal composition. The palette is monochromatic, using shades of white, grays, blues and blacks with a band of silver gilding and the black lower strip that gives this painting contrast and drama of the moody sky.
All my painting are finished with a high quality varnish.

Credentials
- Works on commission
Susan Rocha, an adept painter and sculptor, gradually unearthed her artistry through life's profound moments and personal struggles. Her mixed media works--acrylic, resin, oils, glass, even clay ceramics--are inherently abstract interpretations of nature, seamlessly weaving landscape and seascape vignettes into her canvas. Rocha's artistry radiates a rich appreciation for the abundance of the natural world, striking a balance between the tangible and imaginative to celebrate her bond with the earth.
