About this artwork
Quiet and friendly, this spring man is turned towards the growth and blossoming all around him; is he dreaming of the goddess?
During my art residency in Porto in the winter of 2026, I was greeted by tiles on almost every house wall – and I was finally able to fulfill my wish to paint on ceramics. During those five weeks, a collaboration with the tile studio Gazete Azulejos came about, where I was able to create 22 tiles.
What new things grow from… traditions? What stories do the sand creatures in the glaze tell? These were questions that guided me during the painting process. Likewise, as so often, I painted from within the morphic field.
Thus, abstract and figurative forms appear – and: goddesses.
ATTENTION: The tile is of course made of ceramic, however this option wasn't yet available on Singulart, so I selected "slate". It's also painted with glaze colors, hence: "sand and pigments".
Where will the Spring Man travel next? I sincerely wish him much joy with it!

"Life and art are one!"
Susanna Andreini's painting is a dance on the canvas. Lines are independent entities from the unconscious world. Her art reveals the invisible world of feeling thought. She works as if in a trance, in connection with the unconscious and what goes beyond it.
The versatile artist with a theatrical background loves oil paints and oil pastels, gouache and ink, as well as special papers.
Nature beings find their expression on Susanna Andreini’s canvases, and her portraits of people show the essence, show energetic realities.
The color gold has become increasingly important in her work over the last few years, as has anything that shimmers. Flow is important here.
People who give the figures and paintings of the versatile artist a place and space say that they experience joy, awareness, clear presence and contact with their own life issues through her works. A space of authenticity and joy of life is created.
