About this artwork
When I look at this picture, it all begins with the calm, beige background, which I deliberately sprayed only lightly. I then place fields of color into this open space, sometimes using a balloon.
The warm reds and yellows represent energy and joy, while the gray nuances deliberately create points of calm. Everything comes together in the lower right corner – for me, that's the core of the image, the moment where control and chance collide.
For… me, the work is a play between structure and letting go, between intense color and still surface. It perfectly reflects the state I was in while painting: focused, open, and ready to let the color take its own course.
