About this artwork
Circle Traces is inspired by the question of how to design a surface by incorporating repeating circular rings. The circular rings of various colors, arranged in series here, create curved tubes. Between these, larger and smaller spaces emerge, whose bright colors correspond with the circular tubes, thus allowing the eye to wander between the subject and the background. The painting was painted with acrylic on canvas.

Susanne Stahr lives in the Frankfurt area. In addition to mathematics, she studied art education with a focus on painting. Painting and drawing have been a part of her life since childhood. She discovered her talent for drawing at an early age and, at the age of 10, found herself taking portrait painting classes for adults. She has pursued her creativity professionally and continues to guide children in their creative development. She also works as a freelance artist. Her current focus is on exploring colors and color nuances, which find their form in both abstract painting and the realization of motifs from nature, animals, and plants.
