About this artwork
Aufbruch tells of the first steps as a child on shaky, stony ground. The artist walked the idyllic paths across the country of the island of Mallorca with her one and a half year old son. Bright sun and fresh green accompanies the path of the two in spring. As well as the hope of growing up in joy. The picture is painted in egg tempera on canvas.
