About this artwork
In the morning, sheep and chickens come together under a carob tree. In the rural area, which the artist loves, the chickens run free across the fields and join the other animals. The grass is light and dry in summer. The tree contrasts with this in its rich green. The picture is painted in egg tempera on canvas.
