About this artwork
Fog that drifts from the sea across the beach is an event that has deeply impressed the artist. The expanse of the Kniepsand on the island of Amrum is suddenly limited by the restricted view. Security takes the place of endless space. The focus is on a lonely beach chair surrounded by grass and sand. The work is painted in egg tempera on canvas.

« I well remember the moment when the landscape in front of me dissolved into many patches of color and I luckily tried to capture this phenomenon with brush and paint. »
