About going through inner journey and travel in speed of light.

My artistic approach is in the closest relationship with my inner explorations. As I’m trying to go deep in myself and beyond the material side, in my paintings I’m trying to distort and crack the figure and to go abstract. It’s hard, because I can catch the astral, meditative and divine states only at moments. But I’m chasing them… every day. My longings are to make a peace with body and soul, energy and mater, figure and abstract, in art and life as well.
I love the most to paint self portraits, like this one, because its easiest one to present how I feel on my own character.

Suzana Dzelatovic is a Serbian painter whose works have been exhibited in several solo events on a national level. Her pieces combine elements of realism with surrealistic and abstract forms. Through her art, as in her life, she wants to merge matter and energy, body and soul, as well as the figurative and abstract. Dzelatovic creates using traditional techniques with oils on canvas, and watercolors on paper.
