About this artwork
Blue and white is such a classic combination so I thought about how I could employ it in a new way. So I let it all float off the table. I love painting white pottery because I get to use every color in the rainbow to create the "white" color. If you look close you can see all the color dots side by side. This treatment is very labor intensive, but it creates a lively luminous quality and gives the surface a lovely texture.
