Beneath a sky of golden haze,
The Yorkshire Dales in splintered blaze,
A tree stands proud, its branches wide,
A green mosaic, countryside’s guide.
Its leaves, a dance of dappled hue,
The sun, abstract, burns through the blue,
Its rays like fingers, streaked with gold,
A warmth that whispers tales untold.
The hills roll soft, in emerald seams,
A patchwork quilt of painter’s dreams,
Each block and angle, nature’s tone,
Yet crafted with a modern stone.…
The winding path in ochre's flow,
It curves where tender breezes go,
And by its side, a stream unfurls,
A ribbon spun with sapphire swirls.
Smooth stones embrace the water's song,
Where echoes of the past belong,
Yet here the painter’s hand unites,
Tradition’s soul with abstract lights.
This Yorkshire scene, both old and new,
A vibrant ode, a timeless view,

The Dales reborn in colours rare.
