About this artwork
In my sculpture I combine wood, metal and leather to create a wall-bound object that celebrates earthy tones and textures. I wanted to capture a palpable energy and raw emotionality that would envelop the viewer and connect with nature. It is intended to bring the warmth and enduring nature of these materials into your home, creating an atmosphere of thoughtfulness and strength.

« I am an artist who works innovatively and unconventionally with familiar natural materials. Rough and delicate, nature is the teacher! Sensual art that touches. »
Sven Schilling is a German sculptor whose works explore the connection between man and nature, the integration of man into the cosmos as it is formulated in anthroposophy. His compositions are exclusively created using oak, iron, and leather because he is fascinated by their feel. Also, Schilling prefers these materials as they have significance in the history of craftsmanship as well as in religions and myths.
