Swain McCaughrin is a painter who began making art at a young age, drawing inspiration from both New York City and Berlin. She uses a straight edge and brush to layer, scrape, and push paint into paper, creating a dynamic interplay of fluid and rigid shapes that reflect tension and release. Her artworks serve as a cathartic visual diary, powerfully conveying the raw energy of emotions experienced in specific moments.
