About this artwork
This artwork is part of my 100 faces challenge, started at the beginning of the pandemic. I have decided this challenge into mini series consisting in 5 to 6 paintings each.

Pursuing this early calling, Sylvia completed her university studies with a degree in fine arts, specializing in sculpture.
A decade ago, compelled by the enduring need to shape and express with her own hands, Sylvia returned to the studio, devoting herself once more to painting and sculpture. The influence of her fashion background is palpable in her work: the human figure is central, rendered in close-up, often larger than life, their features and personalities distilled into sumptuous color and dynamic brushwork.
