About this artwork
In this work, I wanted to capture the essence and pride of the Mexican charro with detailed realism, using dry pastel to highlight the textures and intensity of the traditional costume. My intention was to convey courage and elegance, making the viewer feel the strength and energy this figure exudes. I imagine how this painting will fill your space with culture, history, and vibrant passion.
This portrait won an Honorable Mention in the international… painting competition The Target Prize. It has been exhibited in Zaragoza, Spain. It has participated in several online exhibitions.
