About this artwork
With this piece, I wanted to capture the strength and tenderness of a Tarahumara mother in her natural environment. I used pastels to bring her serene expression to life realistically, and her vibrant colors, steeped in tradition and culture, are striking. Upon seeing it, you will feel a warm and profound energy, celebrating love and connection to the land and family—a visual embrace that brightens any space.
