About this artwork
The artist renewed his palette of colors during confinement to offer us this symbolic painting of an impossible conquest of man on Nature. Sylvie GEDDA offers us here a work on the diaphanous transparencies of water in opposition to the more opaque hues coming from the Earth.
Polder is worked within 6 mm of resin cast on wood (mineral blue pigment and inks).
Subtle shades of color, a perpetual search for forms, lights, a controlled play between… opacities and transparencies define the painting of Sylvie GEDDA.
It introduces inks and pigments into epoxy resin which it flows onto its support (canvas or wood).
She works with glue spatulas of different widths which allow her to stretch and return her prepared colors. she draws her forms inside the resin using different wooden sticks, in imaginary calligraphy and always renewed in space.

« My painting is sometimes spatial, sometimes telluric, sometimes aquatic, sometimes cellular, always organic. My wish is to arouse in the viewer a desire to wander the innumerable paths of the imagination. »
