About this artwork
My latest collection of works "Between heaven and earth" is a conscious break away from my more obvious graphic and structured contemporary paintings but highlights once again my love of colour and blending and combining them together. While my geometric collection is purely abstract and a dialogue between lines, spheres and forms, this collection of works is more figurative and subtle, recalling elements of the world about us - clouds, seascapes,…
landscapes, the sky that I hope will trigger the viewer's imagination. I have worked exclusively with acrylic paint and a knife rather than a paintbrush. The colour has been applied in layers so there is a lovely texture to the artworks and the possibility to work on the colour from a previous layer.
