About this artwork
This photograph was taken in Spain in the urban outskirts of Madrid during an artistic residency. Seeking to question, through photography, the problematic of urban speculation, I came to realize a set of in situ interventions in which I drew in anamorphosis cube patterns on the ground before taking photographs with a view camera. It is a unique image in this photographic research because it is the only one where the drawing was made by digging furrows…
(in the rest of the series "Projecting a cube", the drawings were made with paint on the ground).

Credentials
- Works on commission
A native of the south of France, Térence Pique primarily uses film photography to express his artistic sensibility. Influenced by his background in cinema, his studies in the theory and history of photography, and his experience in Spain, he presents visual photographs with clear aesthetic qualities. His rigorous technique with the view camera and his physical engagement as an integral part of his creative process, give life to landscapes where the trace of the human is prevalent. Térence Pique's work conveys a palpable tension visible in current landscapes and proposes a critical dialogue with the paradoxes of our territories, inviting the viewer to interpret the complexity of the world around us.
