This piece symbolizes the balance of beauty and grit (being tough, working hard). That you can have it all, queen. This is the updated version of my original concept for this same piece called Dreamer/Visionary, 2017.
***not ready to hang. recommend custom frame for the final presentation. canvas has been cut from the wood stretchers. ships rolled in a tube. there is no extra material to re-stretch… without cropping the image smaller.
TaLisa's figurative works are about capturing the strength, beauty, and diversity of women. For this series she says, "The figures are like symbols. I'm not painting traditional portraits, I'm repainting the history of women in art."
