About this artwork
This luminous still life captures the delicate intensity of a bouquet of violets in full bloom, their deep purple petals glowing against a vibrant, sunlit backdrop. Painted with fluid, energetic brushstrokes, the composition radiates quiet joy: rich violets and purples intermingle with soft whites, subtle greens, and touches of yellow and blue, evoking the fresh, almost electric presence of early spring flowers.
The turquoise vase sits on a warm… orange-red surface, framed by a lively halo of sky-blue and turquoise tones that suggest light pouring through a window. As a Slovenian artist based in Ljubljana, I draw from the Central European tradition of finding profound beauty in modest seasonal signs—transforming these small, fragrant blooms into a celebration of tenderness, resilience, and the gentle arrival of renewal.
Ideal for collectors seeking expressive, contemporary still lifes that bring clarity, emotional warmth, and subtle optimism to modern interiors.
