About this artwork
This bright, colorful piece is a mix of painting mediums (acrylic and oil) with a collage of colorful pieces of fabric, mainly silk.
This piece is a visual fairy- tale about flying, passion and love.
The idea for this painting came from noticing a fairy tale-like house in the artist's old neighborhood, Ukrainian Village, in Chicago. This neighborhood is a mixture of old and hip. It is very eclectic, and each house takes your imagination on a little… trip through time and history. Birds love to socialize under pointed roofs of houses like this one.

« Art making is an asynchronous diary of daily events. The process is extreme and the result is surprising. »
Tamara Wasserman is an artist based in the United States whose paintings have been featured in solo and group exhibitions nationally. She describes her most recent works as resulting from the fusion of observation with emotion. Omitting the details of faithful observation, Wasserman concentrates on the essentials, allowing "intense emotion to find its free abstracted expression". She creates using oils, acrylics, oil pastels, and charcoal on canvas or wood.
