About this artwork

My favorite theme is sunset! Always different, but always magical. This is a time for yourself, a time to think and mark, a time to hear the silence and the beating of the heart.

√ Noble colors of natural pigments. Oil paints are produced on the base of specially linseed oils, positive qualities of which are well known for ages.

My name is Tanja Frost, and I’m an artist based in Slovakia. Originally an aerospace design engineer, I found my true path in painting after moving to Europe over 18 years ago. I studied Fine Arts at the Academy of Fine Arts and Design in Bratislava, where I earned my degree and fully embraced my artistic calling.
My style blends realistic detail with impressionistic emotion, inspired by the quiet strength and beauty of nature. Each painting reflects a mosaic of experiences from different cultures and inner worlds, connecting Eastern sensitivity, Western freedom, and deep spiritual harmony with the natural world.
Oil paint is my chosen medium – it holds the energy and layering I pour into each canvas and preserves the vibrancy of colors for decades. Through my work, I hope to offer more than visual beauty: a sense of peace, freedom, and connection that brings a little more harmony to people’s lives and homes.
