About this artwork
Tanja Hirschfelds Vorskizzen für ihre Ölarbeiten werden per Hand mit hochqualitativem Kashmir auf dickes Leinen gestickt.
Das Symbol unterhalb des Halses ist die "Trinacria", Symbol Siziliens. Die indische Frau trägt Vögel als Kopfbedeckung, sie stehen für das halb mensch-, halb adlergestaltiges Reittier Garuda, aus der indischen Mythologie. Die Schultern schmückt das keltische Symbol für "Freundschaft".
In diesem Bild verschmelzen einige Themen,… die die Künstlerin erforscht: Identität, Mythologie und Female Empowerment.
Die Textilarbeit ist auf einen Keilrahmen montiert.

By using different artistic techniques and symbolic languages from different cultures, works are created that build a bridge between people of different origins. After intensively studying classic glaze oil painting, Hirschfeld has developed her own abstract-figurative formal language that plays with geometric color harmonies. She also uses this in her textile works.
