Das Motiv "Life is now" erzählt von den italienischen Wurzeln der Künstlerin. Die Schwerter und der Mond sind Symbole der italienischen Spielkarten. Die Afroamerikanerin trägt eine Maske. Der Sanskrit Schriftzug bedeutet "Das Leben ist jetzt". In diesem Bild verschmelzen einige Nachrichten, die der Künstlerin durchgehend wichtig… sind: Identität, Wurzeln, Antirassismus und Female Empowerment.
Die Textilarbeit ist in einem weißen Schattenfugenrahmen gerahmt.

By using different artistic techniques and symbolic languages from different cultures, works are created that build a bridge between people of different origins. After intensively studying classic glaze oil painting, Hirschfeld has developed her own abstract-figurative formal language that plays with geometric color harmonies. She also uses this in her textile works.
