About this artwork
Tanja Hirschfeld is constantly searching for new forms of expression. She works as a painter, with artificial intelligence, but also with installations and performances. In 2021, her work was shown at the Pinakothek der Moderne (Munich) in the Denkraum Deutschland exhibition. In the same year, she presented a textile installation in the outdoor area of the Haus der Kunst (Munich).
This work is part of the series "MORPHS".
After temporarily completing… a series of 50 highly detailed, realistic oil paintings (sold out), the artist is now devoting herself to the theory of form. With harmonious color compositions and creative combinations of geometric elements and textile patterns, Tanja Hirschfeld creates unique portraits that speak of cultural identity.
« Germany is a rich, dark, soothing green; Italy is emotion, lust, passion, dizziness. »
By using different artistic techniques and symbolic languages from different cultures, works are created that build a bridge between people of different origins. After intensively studying classic glaze oil painting, Hirschfeld has developed her own abstract-figurative formal language that plays with geometric color harmonies. She also uses this in her textile works.
